Demonstration of an OPTI 'Crystal C' lighting effect wheel running at 1/2RPM together with a Polarising spinner wheel running at 20RPM in a Solar 250 projector. This incredible effect is sadly long discontinued and now very rare. Probably the finest OPTI effect ever created. Thought to be a vintage Optikinetics product, but may be from one of the other effects lighting companies of the 70's. Similar to a Kaleidoscope lens but produces 2 copies of the same image moving over each other in opposite directions.

Here we use a pair of Optikinetics Distortion wheels (#2 and #3) to create a 'water ripple' or 'sunlight on water' effect. The projector in use in this example is a K2, but any OPTI projector is suitable. Distortion wheel #2 (medium) is used with a 5RPM rotator whilst the Distortion Wheel #3 (strong) is used with a 1/2RPM rotator. Visit our website to see all these parts. OPTIFANATICS.COM
